Fear of commitment: in much popular literature refers to avoidance of long-term partnership and/or marriage.

The above statement would defiantly describe my mother until Monday when she told me that she was ….wait for it…..wait for it….YUP! Getting married!! I think I am still in shock over the whole situation and will not fully grasp that this is happening until the day she says “I do”. I am very excited for her but WOW what a shocker.

So not only does this mean that my mom is getting married it also means that my family is growing…this will make for 2 step brothers, 1 sister in law (which I am excited for!), and the cutest little nephew! Ooops I almost forgot a step dad!!

Ok, so I have been an EXTREME slacker. I will give everyone a brief update so that you can catch up! You all know that Jake and I had our first child Brody. He is now 1! Yup 1! He has been so much fun and we don’t know what we were thinking when we said no kids! He is now walking all over the place like crazy and getting into EVERYTHING. His favorite thing lately is to sneak into the bathroom and play in the toilet. GROSS yes I know. Jake and I have learned to keep the bathroom door closed. Brody knows that he is not supposed to play in the bathroom because if by chance we do leave the door open he runs over there and if you yell at him he laughs!! Too cute!!
After a long time Jake and I decided that it was time to sell Hank. We couldn’t put the time and dedication in him that we need. Hank is a great dog and deserves lots of love and attention and Jake and I were just no meeting his needs. We sold him to and older retired couple that planned on taking him for long walks and spending a bundle of time with him. We all miss him and feel awkward without him but know that he is in a great home. We bought a lower maintenance dog on Sunday. She is an Australian shepherd. She was born on March 8th, 2010. She is multicolored with the prettiest blue eyes you have ever seen!! We have all fallen in love with her. She has started to chase Brody around the house and make him giggle non-stop it is so funny to watch them play.
Jake has been very busy taking care of the yard and animals and preparing the garden to be planted. He is such an amazing husband!!
As for me back in February I gave my notice to Nature’s Way and have started working at Wasatch Mental Health. I miss my fellow co-workers at Nature’s Way but have been enjoying the new job and the new co-workers. They are a great bunch of people.
Kersten and Rikki will be coming down this summer once again to visit with us! They will be here the end of July. We sure miss them!!
