Time Flies...

Whew! Where does the time go? It seems like I am only blogging every 6 months or more...I need to get better at this but my daily life seems to be filled with craziness more and more.
Brody is now 2 1/2 and fully potty trained he was SO easy to train and I am so proud of him. He is talking so much and getting a bit bossy...not sure how to break him of this but working on it :). He has a love for the outdoors and it is so hard to keep in inside and content. He seems to be growing taller and taller everyday and I am not sure when the growing spurt will stop!
Jake is busy taking care of the farm yard, the house, and me! I recently foudn out that I am expecting and have been so sick :( I am praying that it goes away after the first trimester and I can live again but until than Jake has taken on a lot of stress and I feel bad for him.
We don't have any trips planned at the moment and I think we are just settled in for the fall/winter and ready for the holidays to come and spend time with the family that lives close by.

Brody just turned 2 on April 5th! He is getting so big and smarter by the minute. For his birthday his Grandma Vickie and PaPa Doug bought him a guinea pig that he LOVES and calls "PIG" LOL!

Yesterday morning while I was getting ready for work Brody wanted to play with the pig so I put the cage on the ktichen floor so he could play with it. He had me open the gate but he wanted to be the one to get the pig out (because he is SO big like that!) so he stuck his hand in the cage and gave him the hand signal of come here and was repeating "here pig, here pig" ...ha ha well of course the scared little pig runs to the opposite corner of the cage in hopes that Brody can't catch him :) After a few minutes of that Brody gets tired and decides that he will just close the door on the cage so he closes the door...well this excites him so much that he yells "I DID IT, I DID IT"...so I decide to join in on his excitement and clap and say "Yay Brody did it all by himself" Brody gets so excited that begins jumping up and down yelling jibber jabber and throws his hands in the air runs around in a few small circles and then darts off to his bedroom! Yes, all this excitement just because he closed a door!

It's moments like this that I adore being a Mom!

Brody and Braxton

Brody also has a cousin Braxton who he is so fasinated with. He loves to hold and play with him. It makes his day to see "The Baby" :) too cute!!

Where Has The Time Gone?!

So where has the time gone? It has been forever since I have written a blog post. We have a lot to discuss!

Brody will be the BIG 2 next month (April 5th) and I can't believe it. We are still trying to figure out how to celebrate!! He is getting so big so fast. He is talking a lot more and starting to put words together to try and make sentences (nothing close to a sentence but trying). His most recent phrase he has learned was "Happy Birthday" his first Happy Birthday wish went to Great Grandma Jean! :) He is learning his farm animals and the noises they makes so far he knows
Cow - MOO
Chicken - ERRRR (The Rooster Crow, which is hilarious when he does it!)
Frog - RIBIT
Horse - HEEEE
Dog - Ruff
Pig - OINK (This one is still a little new to him)
Baa (He calls it a Baa and it also says BAAA LOL!)-BAAA
He also has these animals that he packs around and plays with ALL THE TIME!

Jake has recently sold his Dodge and his on the hunt for a newer bigger and better truck...could be interesting but also very exciting!

Me well this could be long but I will make it short and sweet. I recently had my gallbladder out and have had a few complications from the surgery but I am finally on the mend and ready to play in this Spring weather that we have had lately.

The Farm - We gave our pgymy goats away and have replaced them with 2 mini donkeys! Sebastian and Rosie! They are so much fun and Brody loves listening to them brea. I am anxious to saddle Sebastian up and let Brody ride him!! Ha ha :)
We still have chickens I think our flock is around 15-20 chickens, and a I almost forgot a new dog. Her name is Jasmine. So far she has been a good dog a little dumb but an overall okay dog. She doesn't kill the farm animals but isn't scared to play in the road. She has been close to being hit several times.

Our family trip this year will be in May to Alaska! FINALLY!! We are going to be there for 2 weeks and have lots of fun plans from fishing to hunting to graduation to just hanging with family! We are so excited and can't wait!! :)
